Alors que "Dusk And Her Embrace" gardait encore un fond de souffre, CRADLE OF FILTH travaille maintenant dur pour rendre son successeur plus blanc que blanc. Ca scintille, c'est heavy, c'est bien produit, tout le monde aime ça.
On est ravi, CRADLE OF FILTH commence à vendre des albums par brouettes entières mais est en train de perdre tout son intérêt artistique.
"Cruelty And The Beast", c'est une formule. Une formule très efficace mais les formules très efficaces en black, ça fait mal aux fesses. Morceaux parfois vraiment faiblards, atmosphère succédanée, un ersatz de "Dusk And Her Embrace" meets IRON MAIDEN meets chéri FM.
